ITG Instructor Training offer the new Level 3 Award in Education and Training -formerly known as PTLLS - course at our Training Centre in Colchester Essex. At ITG we do not have large numbers of candidates on courses, if you book with us you can be assured that you will not be one of 20 plus candidates. Our courses are limited to 12 people to ensure that all our customers receive the personal guidance and support they require.
This course meets the government requirement for teachers, trainers and tutors who need an initial award for their role as a teacher or trainer in the lifelong learning sector or those who want to teach in a Further Education College, Adult Learning Environment or be a trainer for a Learning Provider. This qualification is appropriate for anyone who is wishing to teach or train adults.
Our popular intensive Level 3 Award in Education and Training course is delivered over 4 consecutive days and we have a minimum of 1 course per month, combining a variety of theories and principles with practical sessions throughout it's delivery.
All candidates receive a workbook and a copy of Passing Assessments for the Award in Education and Training by Ann Gravells when they arrive at the training centre.
Course Aim :- This award is for those who are or want to be a teacher, tutor or trainer and need to be able to plan, prepare and provide learning for their specialist area.
The intensive classroom course is extremely popular, delegates are supplied with a workbook and the textbook written by Ann Gravells who is one of the leading authors for educational training.
You can book online or by email or telephone, as soon as payment has been made your place on the course is secured. You will need to complete the initial assessment form which gives you the opportunity to let the tutor know a bit about you and also acts as your IT and English Skills test, which is a requirement for this type of qualification.
There is homework allocated each day which is completed during the evenings of the course, our tutor covers the topics during the day and the learning outcomes are met by discussion, lectures and group exercises, groups are kept to 12 delegates to make sure that everyone receives the guidance and attention they need.
By the end of the course you will know how to and have the confidence to plan, prepare and deliver a teaching presentation in your subject.
All Train the Trainer entrants need to have the personal and intellectual abilities to acquire the knowledge and understand the skills needed to gain this award.
All entrants must be able to read effectively and communicate clearly and accurately in written and spoken standard English and be aged 19 or over on the course start date.
This 4 day course also allows learners to commence their professional development within the teaching profession.
If you have commitments and cannot take four days out to gain the new award we also offer an online option, a series of video lectures, lessons, templates and guides are provided for you through our Moodle Based learning environment. You are set up on the system and have up to six months to complete your assignments. When all of your assignments have been completed, you comes to us for one day to deliver your micro teach or if you prefer you can submit video evidence.
